This policy explains how 兴宁市优启电子商务信息咨询服务部 (Xingning Youqi E-commerce Information Consulting Service Department; “we” or “us”) handles information when providing the uqitong ARM website and ARM creators. For privacy questions and requests, contact uqitong@uqitong.com.

1. Scope

This policy covers armpe.uqitong.com, the Chinese and English editions of the uqitong ARM64 USB Boot Disk Creator, and their companion installers. This includes Store products listed as “优启通u盘启动盘制作工具(ARM中文版)” and “优启通u盘启动盘制作工具(ARM英文版)”.

This policy only describes how the uqitong ARM website, creators and companion installers handle information within the scope of this policy.

2. Information we access or receive, and why

Local disk and file operations

To identify the target device, create a bootable USB drive, generate an ISO, or configure local PE boot, the creator uses administrator privileges to read disk numbers, device names, capacity, partitions, file systems, boot configuration, and files and paths you select on your computer. It writes to the target according to the operation you confirm. This local access is not an upload of your files to us. Formatting can erase data on the selected device: back up your data and verify the target first.

Environment statistics

After you accept the agreement described above, the creator sends our service a locally generated random installation ID, app version and edition identifier, Windows version and build, system type, system and process architecture, and system language code over HTTPS. Each creator language edition sends at most one successful report per day. We use these reports to understand version usage, compatibility and improvement priorities.

The random installation ID is not a name, but it is a pseudonymous identifier that can associate reports with an installation. This does not make the data absolutely anonymous. The service uses an irreversible digest of the ID for deduplication and rate limiting instead of storing the raw ID as a persistent identifier.

Failure diagnostics

While consent is enabled, an unexpected software or compatibility failure can trigger a report containing the environment information above, the failed operation and result categories, and filtered diagnostic lines. These help us investigate and fix problems. Filtering removes device models and serial numbers, disk identifiers, drive letters and paths. Statistics and diagnostic requests do not intentionally contain names, WeChat identities, login or payment information, or personal file contents. Receiving a network request still exposes the connection’s IP address to the server.

Website visits, downloads and video playback

When you visit a page, obtain an installer or play a video, we may process your IP address, request time and URL, browser or client information, referring page if supplied by your browser, response status and traffic information. This is used to deliver content, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse and secure the service. Network connections require connection information even if you have not agreed to creator statistics.

Support you request

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any screenshots or files you choose to attach so that we can respond and handle your request. Redact unrelated personal information first. Do not send passwords, payment credentials, recovery keys or unnecessary personal files.

The current ARM creator does not require account registration or login and does not enable a WeChat login or payment interface. Creating a bootable drive does not require us to collect bank card details, contacts, precise location, microphone recordings or camera content.

3. Local storage and cookies

• The website uses browser local storage keys eq-lang and eq-theme to remember language and theme. You can clear them in your browser’s site-data settings; doing so resets these preferences.
• The creator stores the statistics consent preference, random installation ID and last successful report date in the current Windows user’s registry to remember the choice and limit reporting frequency.
• The production creator temporarily keeps execution diagnostics in bounded memory for the current run and clears them on exit; it does not write these as persistent execution logs. Windows, installers and other tools you choose to use may have their own logs.
• The current website pages do not include advertising trackers or web analytics scripts. We may use necessary cookies or similar technologies to validate requests or prevent bots.

4. Disclosure

We process information only as necessary to provide, maintain and protect the uqitong ARM website and creators. We do not use statistics, diagnostics or support information for advertising or other purposes unrelated to this policy.

We may disclose relevant information when required by law, in response to lawful requests from competent authorities, or as necessary to investigate security incidents and protect lawful rights. Otherwise, we do not use the information described in this policy for unrelated purposes or expand its processing without notice. Where consent is legally required, we obtain it as required by law.

5. Retention, location and security

Failure diagnostics are retained for no more than 30 days and then deleted. Other statistics, security logs and support records are retained for the period needed to provide the service, troubleshoot issues, handle requests and meet legal obligations. We determine that period by the information type, specific purpose, security risks and applicable law; we do not retain records indefinitely for unrelated purposes. Contact us to ask about the retention of records relating to you.

We operate in China. Information related to the website and creators is processed and retained only as necessary and as permitted by applicable law. Where special safeguards or separate consent are required, we follow the applicable requirements; this notice does not treat use alone as a substitute for legally required separate authorization.

We use HTTPS for statistics and diagnostics, diagnostic-field filtering, identifier hashing and access controls to reduce risks. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Where an information security incident legally requires notification, we will respond and notify as required.

6. Your choices and rights

• Clear “I read and accept” in the creator to withdraw consent for future statistics and diagnostic reports. This also disables disk-writing, installation and other operations governed by that agreement. Exiting and stopping use also stops subsequent requests from that program. Withdrawal does not affect lawful processing already carried out and does not automatically erase existing server records.
• You can clear browser site data or choose not to send support materials. Clearing local data or uninstalling the software does not delete records already sent to a server.
• Depending on applicable law, you may request information about or access to personal data, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, restriction of or objection to processing, and a portable copy. You may also complain to the privacy authority with jurisdiction over your request.

Email uqitong@uqitong.com with “ARM privacy request,” your product language edition, the type of request and the minimum details needed to locate the record, such as the email address and approximate date of a support conversation. We may reasonably verify your identity or connection to a record and will respond within applicable statutory deadlines. We do not require passwords or full disk contents for this purpose. We may be unable to locate statistics that cannot be linked to an individual. If we must retain information by law or cannot fulfill a request, we will explain why.

7. Children

This is a system-maintenance tool involving administrator privileges and a risk of data deletion, not a service directed at children. Minors should use it with a parent or guardian’s guidance and should not submit personal information on their own. If you believe a minor has provided personal information without required authorization, contact us. We will investigate and handle it under applicable law, including deletion where appropriate.

8. Updates and contact

We update this page and its effective date when features or data practices change. Material changes will receive appropriate prominent notice, and we will seek renewed consent when required. This policy does not limit your statutory rights. The Chinese and English pages describe the same data practices.
